XML Sitemap Generator

An XML sitemap is a file that lists all the important pages on your website, helping search engines like Google and Bing discover and crawl your content more efficiently. It's especially helpful for large sites, new sites with few backlinks, or sites with pages that aren't well-linked internally.

Submit your sitemap via Google Search Console: go to Sitemaps under Index, enter the path (e.g., sitemap.xml), and click Submit. You can also reference your sitemap URL in your robots.txt file with: Sitemap: https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml

Priority (0.0–1.0) is a hint to search engines about the relative importance of pages within your site. Your homepage is typically 1.0, main sections 0.8, and inner pages 0.5–0.6. Note: Google largely ignores this value in its ranking algorithm.

Update your sitemap whenever you add, remove, or significantly change pages. For dynamic sites, generate sitemaps automatically during the build or deploy process. The changefreq tag hints at how often content changes but is also largely advisory — Google uses its own crawl signals.
