How do you play Would You Rather in a group?▼
Classic rules: The host reads a dilemma. Each player must choose one option — no 'neither' or 'both' allowed. After everyone chooses, each player explains their reasoning. Debates are encouraged. For larger groups: everyone votes simultaneously (hands up, or using cards), then discuss the minority choice. The fun is in the justification, not the choice itself.
What makes a good Would You Rather question?▼
Good dilemmas have these properties: (1) Both options must be genuinely appealing or unappealing — the best questions are real dilemmas where neither option is obviously better. (2) They reveal something about the person's values or priorities. (3) They're specific enough to spark discussion. Vague questions ('Would you rather be happy or rich?') are less interesting than concrete ones ('Would you rather have $10M but never travel again, or travel anywhere but earn only minimum wage?').
